Meanwhile, over at the Writers Guild, our writing staff was twice nominated in the 64th annual WGA awards. In Best Drama, we will be on the ballot beside BREAKING BAD, THE GOOD WIFE, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, and HOMELAND. We’re also up in Best New Series, where we will be competing against EPISODES, HOMELAND, THE KILLING, and NEW GIRL.

And speaking of awards and honors and such, Peter Dinklage has another laurel to go with his Emmy and Scream Awards. GQ has named him “Stud of the Year.”

Congratulations to Peter. For more details, check out the GQ website:

I am sure Tyrion would be delighted for him.

((As magazine awards go, GQ clearly beats the Locus Awards, I must say))

Back home again. Returned from New York/ New Jersey yesterday.

It was a great trip, and an eventful one. More on all that shortly.

Oh, and for those still looking for autographed books… I hit the big B&N on Fifth Avenue and signed their stock of A DANCE WITH DRAGONS and other titles before leaving town. So that’s three locations in NYC that should have signed copies for the holidays. For as long as the supply lasts.

I dropped by there yesterrday, signed a couple boxes of DANCE hardcovers, and stacks of paperbacks of the other titles. Get yours while the supply lasts.

Lots of cool news to report but there’s no time. Parris and I are still in NYC and the days are full. I’ll try to catch up when I get home.
