Fan Mail
1. Purpose and Scope
The purpose of these guidelines is to establish clear procedures for submitting fan mail, gifts, and autograph requests. These policies ensure the safety of our staff and the efficient processing of all fan correspondence.
2. Mailing Address
All fan mail and autograph requests must be sent to the official address listed below. Any mail sent to personal residences or unofficial locations will be returned to sender or discarded.

3. Autograph Requests
We love hearing from fans and try to accommodate as many autograph requests as possible. Please follow these requirements:
- Item Limits: Limit your request to one (1) item per person to ensure everyone gets a turn.
- Accepted items: We will accept the following items; PHOTOS, POSTCARDS, SMALL SIGNATURE PLATES.
PLEASE NOTE: We would generally like to provide our own book plates with acid free backing as well as our own approved photos but we will sometimes accept high quality photos if one if preferred. If your image is not sent back to you it will be replaced with one from our approved stock.
- Return Postage: We ask that you include a pre-addressed, stamped return envelope (SASE) for your item to be mailed back to you. International requests must include valid International Reply Coupons (IRCs) or adequate postage.
- Items Provided: We are not responsible for lost, damaged, or unreturned personal items. Please only send items you are comfortable parting with.
4. Sending Gifts and or unsolicited works.
– While we appreciate the generosity of our fans, our strict security policies dictate how gifts are handled.
- Allowed Items: Standard letters, cards, flat art, and small, non-perishable items.
- Prohibited Items: Perishable foods, liquids, fragile glass, hazardous materials, cash, and high-value items. Any prohibited items will be discarded immediately upon receipt.
- ANY unsolicited work including concepts or story ideas will not be looked at and will not be returned.
5. Privacy and Protection
For your own privacy, please do not include sensitive personal information (such as phone numbers, financial details, or social security numbers) in your letters. We are not responsible for securing or returning unauthorized personal property sent to our offices.
6. Response Time
Due to high volumes of mail and varying production schedules, please allow 8-10 weeks for a response. Do not send multiple follow-up letters, as this may delay processing times.
PLEASE NOTE: We try to archive all the mail George receives at Texas A&M literary foundation and he greatly appreciates anyone taking the time to reach out.
