Daenerys Elizabeth Averett
Daenerys is the daughter of reader Beth Mazurek, who writes that she was born in July, 2004. "In Fall 2005, you were on a signing tour with A Feast for Crows, and my family had the pleasure of meeting you in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We had a couple of books signed for our daughter, she not reading them yet, although she and her father listen to your books in the car. Daenerys is nearly 4 now, and does have a strong attraction to dragons. She is very thoughtful, has an great vocabulary, and is a relentless debater/ negotiator. We have turned many family and strangers on to your works, just by explaining her beautiful name."
That's good to hear, Beth. I just hope your little Dany forgives you when she gets to kindergarten and has to spell 'Daenerys' for the teacher. Listening to the books at age four, though... maybe you should start her on The Ice Dragon...
