{"id":6300,"date":"2020-07-19T10:20:13","date_gmt":"2020-07-19T16:20:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/?p=6300"},"modified":"2020-07-08T09:52:50","modified_gmt":"2020-07-08T15:52:50","slug":"writing-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/2020\/07\/19\/writing-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Writing&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This writing stuff is hard.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5296\" src=\"https:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_4759.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"498\" height=\"278\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even so, it has been going well of late.\u00a0\u00a0 Three more chapters completed this past week.\u00a0\u00a0 And good progress on several more.<\/p>\n<p>Still a long long way to go, though.\u00a0\u00a0 Do not get too excited.<\/p>\n<p>In my copious spare time, have been doing some editorial groundwork on three new Wild Cards books as well:\u00a0 PAIRING UP and SLEEPER STRADDLES and the mosaic HOUSE RULES, where Agatha Christie, H.P. Lovecraft, and P.G. Wodehouse have a wild weekend.\u00a0\u00a0 They should be fun&#8230; but we are in early early days, so you won&#8217;t be reading any of them until 2022, I would guess.<\/p>\n<p>(But there is lots of other Wild Cards stuff already in the pipeline for 2020 and 2021, have no fear).<\/p>\n<p>Anyway&#8230; be good, kids.\u00a0\u00a0 Me and the Frog are headed back to Westeros.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This writing stuff is hard.
