{"id":5750,"date":"2019-10-02T22:01:15","date_gmt":"2019-10-03T04:01:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/?p=5750"},"modified":"2019-10-02T22:01:15","modified_gmt":"2019-10-03T04:01:15","slug":"emmy-times-four","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/2019\/10\/02\/emmy-times-four\/","title":{"rendered":"Emmy Times Four"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m just back from ten days in LA, and the Emmy Awards&#8230; where GAME OF THRONES once again won the Big One as the Best Drama.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the fourth win for GOT&#8230; and, along with Peter Dinklage&#8217;s fourth victory as Best Supporting Actor in a drama, and all the trophies our amazing crew snagged the previous weekend at the Creative Arts awards, helped HBO once again take home more Emmys than any other network, channel, or streaming service.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5623\" src=\"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/emmy-statuette-e1570054726802.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"132\" height=\"232\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5623\" src=\"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/emmy-statuette-e1570054726802.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"132\" height=\"232\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5623\" src=\"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/emmy-statuette-e1570054726802.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"132\" height=\"232\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5623\" src=\"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/emmy-statuette-e1570054726802.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"132\" height=\"232\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Of course, we lost a few as well.\u00a0\u00a0 Alfie Allen and Nicolaj Coster-Waldau were also finalists in Best Supporting Actor, but lost to Peter.\u00a0\u00a0 GAME OF THRONES had three directors nominated (David Nutter, David Benioff &amp; D.B.
