{"id":477,"date":"2016-04-28T14:50:58","date_gmt":"2016-04-28T14:50:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/?p=477"},"modified":"2017-06-28T19:20:40","modified_gmt":"2017-06-28T19:20:40","slug":"dragons-in-the-railyard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/2016\/04\/28\/dragons-in-the-railyard\/","title":{"rendered":"Dragons in the Railyard!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hiya kids, hiya hiya.<\/p>\n<p>Well, it took a little longer than expected (we had previously announced a September 29 unveiling, which we had to cancel), but work is finally complete on the trompe l&#8217;oeil mural I commissioned for the railyard, on the back wall of 418 Montezuma, the building that holds the Jean Cocteau Cinema.<\/p>\n<p>We had a little celebratory party yesterday, along about sunset.  Wine, cheese, and dragons.  Here&#8217;s the big picture:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/import\/354660_1000.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The mural is the work of JOHN PUGH, one of the world&#8217;s leading trompe l&#8217;oeil muralists, whose works adorn buildings public and private all over the United States, Canada, and the world.  He&#8217;s been working on it, off and on, for close on two years now.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you guys all love it as much as I do.
