{"id":415,"date":"2016-06-10T19:16:55","date_gmt":"2016-06-10T19:16:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/?p=415"},"modified":"2017-06-26T21:36:33","modified_gmt":"2017-06-26T21:36:33","slug":"chesley-nominations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/2016\/06\/10\/chesley-nominations\/","title":{"rendered":"Chesley Nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ASFA has announced this year&#8217;s nominations for the Chesley Awards.<\/p>\n<p>I was very pleased to see that Magali Villenueve was nominated for her extraordinary and beautiful work on this year&#8217;s Ice &#038; Fire calendar.  <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/import\/359993_900.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/import\/360343_300.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/import\/360540_300.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>My congratulations to Magali.  She faces some formidable competition, but we&#8217;ll be rooting for her.  She&#8217;s a very talented young artist, and I hope we&#8217;ll be seeing a lot more of her work in the years and decades to come.<\/p>\n<p>Also, I see that Richard Anderson is up for best hardcover cover for his cover for my friend Vic Milan&#8217;s novel DINOSAUR LORDS.   Well deserved.
