{"id":1431,"date":"2014-04-27T12:47:05","date_gmt":"2014-04-27T12:47:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/?p=1431"},"modified":"2017-08-29T20:50:32","modified_gmt":"2017-08-29T20:50:32","slug":"whew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/georgerrmartin.com\/notablog\/2014\/04\/27\/whew\/","title":{"rendered":"Whew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#39;ve had quite a week at the Jean Cocteau Cinema.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, we had Junot Diaz visiting.&nbsp; On Tuesday, a fundraising event for Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham.&nbsp; On Thursday, Anne Perry.&nbsp; And Friday and Saturday, magician David Kwong performing three shows, and introducing and answering questions about NOW YOU SEE ME.<\/p>\n<p>All this PLUS the usual movies.&nbsp; Oh, and great drinks at the bar.&nbsp; The Mystic Kwong was a sight to behold.<\/p>\n<p>It was all very exciting, and enormous fun, but I&#39;m wiped.&nbsp; (Even though my staff and my minions did all the real work).<\/p>\n<p>This week&#8230; well, we have some more showings of ALAN PARTRIDGE and NOW YOU SEE ME, and on Wednesday the special screening of BIG SIGNIFICANT THINGS, with Harry Lloyd (see post below).&nbsp; Come Thursday, the SANTA FE FILM FESTIVAL takes over our hall for the weekend.&nbsp; Check out their offerings here:<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/santafefilmfestival.com\/index\/<\/p>\n<p>And you should see the stuff we have planned for the rest of May.&nbsp; But more on all that on another rock. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#39;ve had quite a week at the Jean Cocteau Cinema.
